Yesterday, we left Central Florida and headed to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
What? I thought you guys were going to California?
Well, you’re right! BUT, we all decided that we should go ride Avatar Flight of Passage just one more time before we left Florida. We had to put this excursion off for a few days because poor Jensen had the stomach flu. Right before our longest road trip ever, Jensen threw up over every spare sheet and blanket to our names. Loads of laundry later, he is feeling back to normal.
“Mom, we can still go to Animal Kingdom, right?” Jensen so sweetly asked.
“We will make it happen, buddy.”
We left our RV park at 6:02pm on Thursday and drove through crazy I-4 traffic to my favorite of the Disney theme parks. We were able to ride the “Banshee ride” one more time and off we went towards I-75. We drove until 3:30 am then camped overnight in a Florida rest area on I-10. Since it was shockingly cool out, we were able to sleep with the windows open, and we didn’t need to use the generator onboard our rig.
We woke up to a beautiful, clear day which was perfect to get on the road again.
We’re on our way!
