This is my son, Jensen. He is seven years old and is completely infatuated with trying to make people laugh. Every single thing that comes out of his mouth is an attempt to make us burst into laughter. Although this can get old at times, he often surprises us with how perfect his timing can be.
He loves being outdoors, here, in the Redwoods of California. Mike and I have noticed how he seems blissfully happy with all the freedom he has to run, play, climb logs, skip rocks, and explore the grounds of the state park.
In the last month or so, he has become more confident with reading quietly to himself. His favorite book is Fox In Socks by Dr. Suess.
Jensen is a gamer, and he most recently beat Hey, Pikmin on 3DS in three and a half days. He reminds us often of this fact as he received the game from us for Christmas and BEAT it before 2018. “Hey, Mom, remember when I BEAT Hey, Pikmin in three and a half days?” “I sure do, bud, it was two days ago when you beat it.”
Funny how kids really don’t understand the concept of time. Emma and Jensen both refer to events as so long ago when they actually occurred last week. So cute!
“Mom, remember when I was six?” Jensen asked me.
“Yep, it was last year. I’m not THAT old, buddy!”
I absolutely adore being a mom.
I could go on and on about my kids, but for the sake of you, my dear readers, I won’t.
